So I had my hysterscopy and laproscopy today. Feeling pretty good so far. It was a mixed bag. I had a small septum coming from my cervix attaching to my uterus which was causing it not to be able to expand and they snipped that. But aside from a small spot of endo on my intestine which wasn't necessary to remove there was nothing to indicate why we are experiencing infertility. Typical. But at least it's good to know. Our options seem to be one more IUI using only injections, and then IVF, or straight to IVF. I will be interested to see if my period gets back to a normal length/heaviness after this procedure but the continued lack of answers is frustrating. My doctor said that the septum they found wouldn't have caused infertility and should not have impacted being able to carry to term.
It seems more and more that we will have to do IVF to get any answers at all. :( Maybe my husband's ejaculate sperm carry no genetic material (apparently this is a thing and my friend had to have his sperm taken directly from his testicles) Or maybe my egg just repels my husband's sperm. Who knows, but either way just as frustrated, now with two more holes in me.
