OK so this is a little bit of a vent today. I love my friends, I love their children, and I love that they love their children. Yet some days I've just reached my limit for hearing about them nonstop.
". . . Remember when the beautiful boy you couldnt imagine living without broke up with you? We shunned any word or topic containing men for at least three months. And the time your father passed away? We held hands while the tears fell and we recounted all of the precious moments fallen behind. I still dont share stories about my fatherknowing that it is too painful a reminder of what you have lost.
So why now when facing a broken body, and mourning the loss of biologys greatest dream, do you only speak of babies?

What confounds me is that in no other regard do women do this (e.g., when a close family member dies or a relationship ends). A woman would never go on and on about their perfect, wonderful marriage, sharing pictures and one story after another about how perfect it is to a friend who just filed for divorce or is trying to get out of an abusive relationship. Why is it then that some women can't correlate this to constant baby talk to women who have been unable to conceive? Mystifies me.
