Ok....so I haven't been on here for a while because my dh and I decided to go the adoption route. The financial and emotional stress were just getting to be too much.

So, in November I was on a clomid cycle...and my fertility specialist told me that I just wasnt' ovulating and this cycle was a no go...he said no viable eggs would come from this cycle. He said wait until I start my next period and give him a call to start again.

So, I haven't had a af since November. I took a hpt in early Feb with a BFN....but still no af. Then in the past couple of weeks I've been super tired, my stomach has been feeling icky, and I've had this really odd, really sharp pain right where my right ovaries are.... so I decided to take another hpt this weeked.

I've taken 5 in 3 days...all BFP. So, now I'm freaking out. We've been ttc for 4.5 years...never had a BFP. I have no idea where I could possibly be in a cycle...and I'm afraid with this pain that it may be a tube or eptopic preg. Plus I'm also just plain afraid that it's a chemical preg or I may miscarry.

My fertility specialist told me to go to my reg gyn (who've I've met once to get a reference to a specialist). The soonest they can fit me in is 4/7.

My pain in my right ovaries...I've felt like 4-5 times in the past 3 weeks or so. It's normally when I'm getting up off the couch from laying down....it's almost a tearing feeling. It's not constant. Any experience with eptopic pregnancies...anyone?

Any other words of wisdom?

Wow congratulations on your BFP. Thats brilliant to hear. I dont have any advice for eptopic pregnancies but I have had a baby after TTC for 2 yrs and I can tell you that you will experience every pain and twinge that will make you worry and anxious everytime. You need to think positive as this is a wonderful miracle in its self and the pain most likely is your uterus changing, contracting and stretching etc. I have a cousin who is a OB and I called her every second day to ask what this or that ment and I gave birth to a healthy full term little girl. So good luck, I bet that it will be all fine for you.

I would call the Dr and tell them you're having sharp pain (exaggerate if you have to), tell them you haven't had a period since Nov, and make them see you this week. I doubt it is ectopic or tubal but on the very slight chance it is, you need to know ASAP because it can lead to serious complications (loss of your tube). I would not wait if at all possible -- especially if you haven't had a period since Nov and you're having pain on only one side. Again, it's probably nothing bad (hopefully really good news) but it's better to be safe!! This is just my opinion!!

Also....you might call the fertility specialist and see if they'd fit you in. My RE sees patients until they're 8 weeks into the pregnancy so maybe if you explained the pain you're having they'd fit you in! Just an idea!

I had a problem with not being able to see a Dr. I knew I was miscarrying and they didn't think that was enough to have an appointment.

So, I went to ER.
I wasn't bleeding or anything, but I knew the signs my body give all too well.

I know it's not cool to go there when you don't "need to".

But I got a blood test which told me the HCG numbers and I got an ultrasound which showed us exactely what was going on and we were able to deal with things in an informed as oppsed to paniced manner.
Otherwise we were being made to wait until I was 9 weeks pregnant for the blood test or US.
Unfortunately I never got to 9 weeks that time.

So at ER I got what we needed and it helped us for the circumstances we were in, which were not the same as yours.

I have a 0%-3% chance of IVF working, I'm an extreem case of infertility.
And I don't recognise any of your symptoms from my own miscarriages.

Perhaps your body is just starting to prepare, stomach muscles streaching inside, hips loosening up and all that magical stuff, which from what I hear isn't always comfortable.
That's where my bet is with you.

Ok, when I made the appt this morning, I did ask to speak to a nurse and I did tell her about the pain and that I'm panicing a little. I guess it worked. The doctor called me and he's ordering bloodwork immediately. I'm going to go after work to get it done and then I should have some answers in the morning!

thanks for the supportive comments :-) I'll update when I know more. I so hope that this is all a good thing, but we all know that there is so much heart break...I don't want to set myself up for more. Thanks again.

I've had an ectopic which I carried for 9 weeks without a clue. I had some odd dark colored bleeding which I mistook for a period...twice. I dont recall any pain at all the only symptom I had was a twinge in my shoulder that felt like I had slept on it wrong.

But during my current pregnancy (IVF) I have had all kinds of twinges and pains.

Waiting for your update and praying that everything goes right for you.

I would just go to ER and get a blood test and maybe ultrasound..... but I had the same pains when I was pregnant and was fine. But if it gets to bad go to the ER I had to and they gave me my numbers which they could tell by that how far along I was and I got to see the heartbeats on ultrasound. Keep us posted and good luck.

I recieved the call. My HCG is 77,937. They think I'm 5-6 weeks pregnant and I have an ultrasound scheduled for Friday.

I'm really overwhelmed with joy and fear at the moment.

I really appreciate all of your words--I'm too afraid to tell many people in my "real" life at the moment and your encouragement has been a blessing.

Do my numbers look pretty right? 77,937 seems high (in a good way)?

Congratulations! I unfortuately have never had a successful pregnancy amd feel my aches and pains have nothing to do with the MC. Seems to be hormonal issues, not PCOS but LPD and slightly low estrogen. But, I hated those pains every time I was pregnant (3 times). I feel most people dont' talk about it. But, when asked, everyone tyells you it is normal. It always made be nervous so I know how you feel. But, I guess that we react differently d/t our unfortunate struggles with infertility. I always have the pain on my right side more also but it has never been an ectopic. Mine would hurt more when sitting at work or in the car. When I laid down or stood up it actually felt better. I also had that "icky" feeling, like I was going to get AF. Well, good luck, keep everyone posted. i am praying for you.

That is such good news!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! That's great that they fit you in & you don't have to worry for 2 weeks. You should be able to see the heartbeat on Friday!!! Your numbers sound good -- maybe you'll even be 6-7 weeks (1/2 way through the 1st trimester)!!!

When I was newly pregnant with my daughter, I also experienced the feeling you are describing but on my left side. I was terrified it was ectopic because the hsg showed the left side as blocked. Turned out the hsg cleared the tube and the pain was just a cyst on the left ovary remaining from ovulation (totally normal per my ob). We also got an early ultrasound to make sure. Good luck with your ultrasound!!

Congratulations!!!! I'm also about 5 weeks pregnant and I have also been experiencing a sort of sharp "pulling" pain in my abdomen when I get up after sitting for a while. From what I've read, it could just be ligaments stretching and getting ready to support the growing uterus. Hopefully that's all it is! Good luck and I hope you have a very happy and healthy pregnancy!!
