Today is my first day on this site and I must say that I am very thankful to have searched and picked this site to share my story. Everyone has such amazing and different stories and you all have such encouraging and positive things to say. There are not very many people around me that are going through similiar experiences but this opens my eyes that I am not alone and there are plenty of people going throught the same thing. I am still fairly new to this whole ferility process but me and my husband are willing to do whatever we can to make this possible. Me and my husband have been trying for a little over a year to get pregnant. We are high school sweethearts and got married last April. We have been dating for 9 years! :) After not conceiving for about 9 months I contacted my doctor to see if we could meet to talk about not being able to get pregnant. I was worried that I was going to have issues since my mom had to be on clomid in order to conceive. They did the HSG test and did a couple ovulation tests and everything checked back okay. They decided it may be best to test my husband which i never thought in a million years that we would be here. His counts came back low and adnormal, they had him take a 2nd test and results can back low and abnormal. His sperm count, motility, morpholgy and shape were all low. We were then sent to a urologist where they told us he has an enlarged varicocele vein which explains why the counts are so low. It has something to do with putting off a lot of heat. We then went and met with a fertility specialist and they suggested that we start with the IUI process as they felt the counts were still in our favor. We are now going in for our 3rd IUI tomorrow and I feel the most confident about this one. The first IUI, my cycle was 7 days late, clomid at 25mg and the follicles were really slow with growing. The second IUI they upped my clomid to 100mg and the follicles were a little better but progestrone levels were low so they upped my dose. I went it yesterday for my ultrasound and I have one really nice looking follicle and I had to do the trigger shot last night! Hopeful for 3rd times a charm tomorrow!
