Woke up to AF's arrival this morning at 5am. We had 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized. We put in 2 8 cell as perfect as they can get embryo's on day 3. We have 1 frozen. My hopes were so high, this was our best shot and still it didn't take. They even gave us a picture of the 2 embryos for the baby book.

Have been up since thinking what the next plan should be.

I am so tired of trying to figure out appointments, medication and how to pay for all these treatments.

I know my first step is to take a break, need time away from the daily mental and physical stress.

How long inbetween treatments do you give your body to return to its normal (non medicated) self?

So very sorry your IVF did not work. My husband and I are planning on taking a break for a few months coming up. We need time to regroup, de-stress, and save money. In fact, I think we will use some of the money we would have been spending on treatment and go on a relaxing vacation. Just a little something special to treat ourselves since I will not have to schedule my life around doctor appointments. Hopefully a break will give me the strength I need to continue. So sorry again, wishing you the very best of luck for the future!

So sorry about to hear your IVF didn't take. I have taken the past 14 months off after 5 failed IUI's and a move from Georgia to Texas. We have an appointment with a RE this week to start of my first rounds of IVF. I am extremely hopeful but also a little apprehensive. After praying and feeling like the time is right to go back into IF treatment I can feel your pain. Take some time off, do something for yourself and your DH and don't give up hope. It will all happen for all of us :)

My IVF experience has been similar to yours, I did my first round of IVF in Feb of this year, and it failed. I only had one frozen embryo left and I was terrified to use it to soon and not give my blowy enough rest before trying again. I think I was also really scared to use my 2nd embryo because that would mean all my chances were gone. I am not sure we can afford to do this again. But I just transfer my last little embryo earlier this month and now I am in the middle of my 2ww. I am scared that it won't work. But one think I am sure of is that my body had lots of time to recover form the first IVF transfer. I gAve myself 4 months, but you need to give yourself time to morn your failed IVF round and then think about the next step. You will know when your body is ready. Trust yourself and listen to your body. Good luck!!!

So sorry it didn't work. I'm going through an mcwith my first IVF cycle. It's hard but my doc says you shoudn't give up before getting to 3 because of the % chances on each. You should take your time and be ready when you try again.

I'm so sorry about your first IVF not working. That just plain stinks!!! I understand what you must be feeling. Make sure to pamper yourself inside and out! Big Big Hug!

I am so sorry, it is so hard to go through this. I just had my first IVF cycle in May and it failed and I had such a hard time after it. I didn't have any to freeze, so I am on om second round now. I have to do one cycle after another because my RE said I am playing with time because I have ENDO and a low egg reserve. I was surprised that I was ready to start this cycle and I have been so calm about this cycle. My RE said you need to give your body a month to get back to normal before you stimulate again.
It's hard to figure out the financial aspect too, my husband and I are going with an out of state clinic this time because it saved us a lot of money, not sure if this is an option for you and your husband. I get my monitoring at a clinic near me but I'm doing the retreval and transfer out of state.
