We will be transferring both. My doctor told me to do the same as my fresh cycle. 2 days bed rest, then just take it easy after that. Since I don't work. I may just stay in the bed an extra day. Last time I had a lot of cramps on day 3, and was very uncomfortable. Not to say I will this time. But just in case. Since it didn't work for us last time. and this is our last chance. I'm a little scared of doing something wrong.
I was also told I would only be going in a couple times for u/s and blood work. But it may just depend on what the results are from those. It may be different for everyone.
I will be taking BCP, Lupron, Estradiol Valerate, and progesterone in oil shots.
When will you be starting your FET? I wish you the best!
Good luck and sticky baby pixey dust to all!
I was not told to do any bedrest, just to take it easy for 24 hours. After a lot of reading and asking questions about what other people did, I decided to do 12 hours bed rest, 2 days off of work, no exercise or anything strenuous until after my beta. The truth is, people get pregnant all the time doing very strenuous activity, but to be on the safe side, I would take it as easy as possible until your beta, especially after all of your hard work to get there!
I definitely had less u/s & bloodwork for the FET then the fresh cycle. I probably went in about 4-5 times in a month and a half.
And my drugs included- BCP for a month or so, followed by lupron mid cycle (not sure how they do this without lupron- that's what's supposed to allow them to gain control of your cycle and time things appropariately). After my next period, continued lupron for a few more weeks and started estrogen patches and progesterone suppositories, which I cotninued until week 10 of my pregnancy.
One great thing about FET (in addition to less shots, less doctors visits, etc.:) is that your body will be less stressed. I've heard a lot fo women say that they think the more relaxed FET cycle helped them to relax and maybe increased their chance of success. Although this may not be scientifically proven, it makes sense to me!
Best of luck to you and lots of sticky baby dust!!!!
