K- I have been ovulating on my own, which is good. The thing is one of my tubes is blocked. In surgery my dr. was not able to dislodge whatever is in there (possibly endo). So, he recommended that I take an ovulation stimulating drug- I took Clomid in the past and HATED it- so he suggested Femara, and then he will use U/S to see if my good side has any follies, if it does we'd do an insemination.
So far, I have not been on meds since surgery, but I have been getting monitored to see what my body is doing on it's own. Last month good side had follie, the month before bad side- I am going again in a few weeks. I have a few questions for Femara users, or people who know about it- so we can make an informed decision.
If you can answer any or all of these, please help me out!
1. If you were already ovulating on your own- were you able to produce more than one good follicle? If so, how many?
2.Please tell me ALL side effects experienced. Were you depressed at all?
3. Is femara good for people with endo? I think I read something about that.
4. Did femara change your cycle- made it longer/shorter etc?
5. How many mg was your dose, and what days did you take it?
5. What is your overall feeling about the drug and my situation... any advice?
Sorry for the "20 question" set up.... I am just kind of scared and NEED to know from real women who have been through it.

I do ovulate on my own (male factor). On clomid I produced 5 good follies, but on femera, just one. The RE thought that was unusual.

None! I had a ton on clomid, but none on femera.

Not sure.

Nope, on clomid I was a week late, but on femera I was right on time.
5. How many mg was your dose, and what days did you take it?
Ugh, can't remember the dose off the top of my head, but I took it day 3-7 of cycle.

I think it is worth a try. It did not do anything for me, but I am older and that might have something to do with that.I really liked that there were no side effects, I just wished it would have produced more follicles.
