Hello Everyone, I just recently found out my biggest fear has come to life. I found out I am infertile at the age of 20. Me and my other half have started living together and I just graduated college only to find out that being on a certain birth control for so long, had completely messed up my body. I regret starting it at such an early age. I always dreamed of having children and have been trying for awhile now, considering being in a good place in my life. I just started taking pills twice daily to help with the infertility in hopes something will change. I just came on here for support and to hear other people’s stories. I am hoping for advice, success stories, and other motivation. Thank you.

Hi there. I'm so sorry to hear this. Can you tell us more about what bc caused this? I am not familiar with this situation but would want to warn other young girls about this particular medication so they don't have the same issue. Also, is there any way they can reverse this? Maybe a second opinion or third opinion from other doctors? I can tell you that I know someone who had the complete opposite situation, they were on bc for skin/period problems even though they were told they could not have children. When she went off of the pills for a break in her mid 30's, she got pregnant with her now only child :)

Hi the bc I was on was the implanon and the depo shot I had them back to back for many years. I was thinking about going for another opinion but haven’t had the time with work and scheduling at different offices. I’m supposed to go back in October for a check up and I’m hoping for better news. Thank you for the reassurance with your friends situation maybe I’ll get lucky to.

So sorry to hear about what you're going through. I second the getting a second opinion...worth it.

Did the doctor explain why he/she came to the conclusion? Have you had tests done? Remember that being infertile is not the same as being sterile. There is still so much hope for you.

Hi, I am sorry to know your story. However, you should not worry, as today there are to many solutions to become parents: various supplements and meds, IVF, screening methods as PGS NGS, and others. Good luck with your journey

Hello! Me and my wife went through it all and know exactly what its like. Just wanted to spread the word about the most affordable ivf treatment that we found anywhere if that turns out to be your path. We completed our first cycle in the czech republic and only paid 12,000 for trip, treatment, medication, and a month stay. No joke and the treatment was excellent. We struggled for five years and it was a success. The other couples all had successful cycles as well. If anyone wants info message me.

The biggest word of advice I can give is: Don't isolate yourself while you are on this journey. Keep reaching out to us, know all your fertility options and decide what is best for your family. Try joining a local support group too. It really helps to know that you aren't alone & that there are others struggling along with you.

Also, don't be afraid to let your feelings out. Keeping them inside & wearing a mask all the time is exhausting & it'll break you down faster.

Have you consulted with a Fertility Clinic/Reproductive Endocrinologist? What fertility options are they recommending for you?

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I have Not yet looked into IVF I’m still trying with the help of meds. I take ya 1000 mg of metaformin everyday and I’m living a healthier life style. Still no baby in the past three months obviously but I am due to go to the Obgyn this month to get more information. If I dont get good news I’ll start looking into fertility clinics and specialist. I was wondering if anybody else has Pcos and gotten pregnant with metaformins help...?

Sorry to hear that. You should probably get another opinion. These days. there are several options. Anything is possible, think beyond what you see. Somethings are just a little bit more complex than it should.
