I'm already anticipating cheating and testing before my beta. Since i will probably test more than once, as many of you know, HPTs are expensive! Does anyone know if the tests at Dollar tree are any good? I bought one once and it claims to be just as reliable as the name brands but how can a $1 test be just as good as a $20 test? Anyone use them?

I use the dollar store tests ALL the time. I know of several ladies of my preconception forum who have bfp's on the dollar test. The test at 25 ml, which is pretty good...

I've used them all the time. They work great. The ovulation tests work great too.

a friend of mine used them as she was testing every month while dealing with IF. she got a BFP a few months ago and said it was very accurate. i'm going to start buying them myself once i use all my expensive ones up lol

DH and I had a conversation about this a while ago and they the tests should all be pretty much the same, you either have the hormone in you or you don't. What makes them different is the sensitivity of the tests. But for the price dollar stores are great!

It's amazing that something that costs only $1 is just as accurate as something that costs $15! I guess there is more convenience with the brand name tests. With the dollar store test I bought you couldn't pee directly on it, you had to pee in a cup and then use a little dropper thing to put urine on the test. Are they all like that?

i used them many times when we first found out we were pregnant...they were always a dark if not darker lines than the expensive ones...i think i must have gone through 30 of them...(1 a day for the first month...i was too scared it was all going to go away)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
