Does Follistim give a False Postive?

I know I'm crazy, but I took a pregnancy test this morning. It came out postive. I took Follistim Oct 24-29. I have taken two Ovidrel shots. My IUI was on Oct 31st and Nov 1st. I took the test thinking it would be negative and calm my nerves. i don't want to get my hopes up , but could I really be pregnant? I go for my blood test on the 15th.

As far as my RE said, no. It would be the trigger shot that contains the Hcg and tampers with results. For example, I did an IUI on June 26th with Follistim and trigger shot of Novarel. I tested on July 6th (about 10 days later) and I was positive. It was confirmed exactly two weeks past my IUI. You very well could be!
I also had alot of weird cramping/twinging sensations too. Let me know how you make out!

Congrats on your BFP!!! I don't know about Follstim but the Ovidrel should be out of your system by now. I had my iui on 10/31 and will be testing at my doctors tomorrow.

I am really hoping you have a real BFP! However, I would be very cautious. Because you took two shots of Ovidrel, it can take twelve days to leave your system. Your BFP could be real but it could also be the Ovidrel. My RE discourages taking a home pregnancy test until the scheduled day of the blood test for this reason. But I am REALLY hoping your BFP was NOT the Ovidrel! Good luck!!!!
