First off I want to thank all of your for your support and prayers during this difficult time. I know I can always count on you DS ladies to help me through.
Our prayers have been answered! DH is doing better and is on the slow road to recovery. He is still dealing with quite a bit of pain and discomfort. Yesterday was the first day he didn't vomit which is good. But all in all he is slowly healing and getting back to normal. On the down side...he can't drive for SIX MONTHS! By law anytime someone has a seizure, arrythmia, synope or near syncope (fainting), they can't drive for six months. He says there is no way he is going that long without driving but he at least has to wait 6-8 wks until his chest heals. We are having a hard time figuring out how to get him back and forth to church while I am at work. Things have become very difficult with me working 12 hour shifts. I didn't get the job I applied for so I went the administrater of the hospital I work at and told him my situation. He said he understood and we are supposed to meet next week to discuss my hours. I am praying they will let me start working 8 hour shifts! With DH's health I really need to be at home with him more. 12 hours a day is a long time to be couped up in the house unable to drive anywhere. And needless to say with all this stress my diet has gone out the window!
I guess I got another prayer answered during all of this; though this wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Over the last 1 1/2 years all I have been able to think about is having a baby. I felt so much pain with each BFN, each failed IUI, every time I saw a pregnant woman, ect. I began to pray that if I wasn't meant to be a mother that God take away my desire to have a baby at all or at least take it away until it was time. I don't know if I will ever be a mother and I am ok with that. Right now I am just so thankful to have my husband. If it's just us for the rest of our lives that's ok. My husband truly is an amazing person and I am so blessed that God gave him to me! Don't get me wrong, children would be great but I have just realized that I need to spend more time being thankful for my DH and the things I have and less time wanting more! I believe that God can give me more. God can give me EVERYTHING but I think first I have to realized how blessed I am to have what I already have. I have learned that in the last two and a half weeks. I am so blessed to have my DH and we are happy right now. I just wish it wouldn't have taken almost losing DH for me to get it.

I had to come to the same realization when our marriage got rocky. I wasn't appreciating him and was feeling bad for myself for not being able to give him children; all the while, he wanted nothing more than to be with me.
