Okay...so my Dr. says that breakthrough bleeding is normal for someone on the pill as long as I've been on it...but seven plus days seems a little strange. Has anyone experienced this??? Should I be worried? I have my baseline on Thursday and I don't want anything to mess with my time line...

I want to hear from REAL people!!!

Hey Felecia! It depends on the bleeding. I know details can be not so fun, but is it actual bleeding, or is it light, spotting, brown, red, pink, etc? If it's browner in color, it's old and that's ok. If it's pink and just spotting, that's ok too. If you're full on having a period, then that isn't ok, and you might need a diff. prescription. Have you been on BCP's before?

I am having breakthrough bleeding also and it's pissing me off because I am hoping to start IVF with my next cycle. I have never had this problem before but I have never been on BCP's either. I hear it's normal but am going to the RE on friday for a checkup to make sure. Good luck to you!!

Nellysgirl...it is a mix between light pink and light red. Some days I spot and others it looks like a regular cycle...it's not enough to wear pads or tampons but a liner works fine...TMI???? I go to the RE tomorrow so I will see what he has to say.

ktk7779413...from what I have read...breakthrough bleeding is normal if you stay on the pill for a while. Good luck on your cycle...seems like we are on the same timeline....many prayers your way!!!

I was taking BC every day with no placebo week and was having 2 full blown, week long periods every month. My pcos hormones were over riding the BC and the frequent periods were irritating my Endo so, before I had to have surgery again, we decided to try for another. On Aug 6, af reared her ugly head again in the middle of a pack of BC so I threw it in the trash. 3 weeks later, we were pregnant.
If it is a hormonal reason for you like it was for me, they will figure it out. They will look at the numbers compared to where you should be in a cycle and may want to follow you sans BC for a month or so to see what your hormones are doing. Best of luck to you.

Everytime I've been put on the pill before a cycle, I bleed the entire time. It sucks
