BED REST

Is it after the ER or ET? It is a possibility I may have to move the day after my ER. I am renting out my home and the only day the renters can move in is on tuesday. Did anyone's doctor make them go on bed rest after the ER? What were the instructions? Just wondering?

My generic instructions were bed rest the day of the ER. I think you have to take it easy to make sure you don't strain yourself-- especially with all those follicles, your ovaries could twist, etc.

You will want to take it easy that day, because you may feel a little uncomfortable. As for ET, my RE wanted me to rest that day and the day after.... but from what I read from other DS gals, every RE is different.

Is it possible you could tell the renters you have a very delicate hospital procedure that day and you will simply not be able to do everything that day or the next??

Most people are reasonable, and it's better to approach the subject sooner than later, even though it may make you anxious.

I would not tell them at all what the procedure is, for a start it's none of their business, and for seconds they might think it's a thing of nothing and be completely non-understanding.

The very best of luck with discovering a reasonable and suitable compromise.

Thank you all. Pretty good advice. I may be triggering today...Retrieval on Sunday...so I may be ok. I am going to let my DH and movers do ALL the work. I am not lifting a thing.
