Today must feel like one of the worst appoinments yet.
There doing the usual blood work and a SA for hubby as his last test showed a slight low sperm count.
After all that Dr. brought up an IUI. I never really put much thought into it as it has me a wreck. The thought of giving up on having a child the old fashion way just doesn't seem right or fair.
What is an IUI, what do you expect, does it hurt, does it lay you up for long, do you need different injections. I'm just clueless lacking hope and confused.
What are the odds concieving using an IUI with blocked tube, PCOS, and hubby having low sperm count feels like the odds are seriously stacked agaisnt us.

I've never had an IUI either, but all they do is stick a catheter through your cervix into your uterus and then inject your husbands sperm into it. They take your husbands sperm sample and "wash" it and chose the good ones to use. It doesn't hurt any worse than pelvic exam, and you lay flat for 15 minutes after. We are doing our first in January and I am looking forward to it, if it helps us achieve our goal of having a baby, it's worth it. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have had an IUI. It can be done with meds or without. I did give myself injections. I agree I would like to do it the old fashion way. I want a baby so bad i will do whatever it takes!
