Apparently turning 30 = babies.

The majority of my friends and myself are turning 30 this year. We have officially been trying for 2.5 years now and all of our friends know we have been having issues. Literally within the last 6 months 4 of my best friends, my little sister and my cousin have announced their pregnancies. One oft very best friends didn't even tell anyone until she announced it on Facebook. I have been fine until she announced her pregnancy. Every time was a little hard, but last week I was an emotional wreck. He didn't even tell me they were trying. And of course got pregnant the first month. Got another pregnancy announcement this evening and I'm about done with it all. Every time it's just an extra reminder that for some unknown reason we can't conceive. I wondered how people could get so bitter, now I think I'm starting to understand. It just f*ing sucks!

I completely understand. I turn 30 in two weeks, and am absolutely dreading it, mostly because it's another birthday since we've been trying (3 birthdays now) and no baby. Nobody understand why I'm dreading this birthday ... but then we haven't told anyone we're going through IF. You're right--it f*ing sucks.

I could live with it until my one friend who also had IF got pregnant. I felt so abandoned and now I think our friendship is a little strained - which I think is mutually both our faults, she feels bad that I am not pregnant, I love that she is pregnant but feel bad about being jealous, and we no longer have the IF bond thing. She got pregnant naturally too, during a month when she was not even trying, and here I am 37 years old and just found out I have a uterine anomaly. Not really being able to afford the surgery that can correct it.

It seems so damn unfair.

I've started making lists of things I would like to do if we are not blessed with a baby sometime soon. And lists of things people who are pregnant or have young children cannot do, that are fun and that I enjoy. Do I sound a little old and bitter? Yeah, I am.

I wish I got money for everytime I heard "marriage, house, dog... baby?" EXACTLY LIKE THAT! From multiple people! Fuck them all! It's so hard after the rush of weddings because then people just begin popping out kids. For me that has passed (I'm 33), but now we have the later marriages coming in and I worry they will get pregnant soon and cause me to meltdown! I miss being happy for people.

I hope the wave of announcements calms down for a little bit! You need a break!

Thanks for your commiseration Ladies. It is hard, every day, but hopefully one day it will get easier for all of us.
