This is my second IVF that we will not be able to do a fresh transfer on. The first one I was on follistim, menopur, ganerelix and my progesterone levels rose to high too fast, missing the window for implantation before my eggs were ready to be transferred. So we had to do an FET with our one blastocyst and it failed. I'm currently nearing the end of stims on IVF 2, and am on a new protocol Lupron, follistim, and menopur (due to the prev. progesterone rise) and my estrogen is too high! So once again we are freezing all the eggs once we get there in order to do an FET. I'm beyond frustrated and wondering if anyone else with male factor infertility has experienced difficulty with your hormones during IVF? Maybe it's really hard to manipulate a normal reproductive system during IVF? Or does my RE just suck?! If the FET fails too, I'm thinking of switching RE's. Beyond sad and frustrated today and just looking for some advice.

We didn't do ivf and I'm the one with fertility problems- my body wouldn't ovulate- but my first round of stims stronger than clomid resulted in a huge cyst on my ovary. The second time around worked perfectly for iui. Hopefully it was just your body freaking out the first time around and it settles down this time. Good luck!

we have male factor and have had a successful IVF. But our first IVF round was canceled due to a cystor an egg much larger than the others, i am still confused about which it was, lol. I agree, if this one doenst work, try a new RE next time. Best of luck!!! lots of people have success with FETs!

I know how u feel we are male factor IF and I went to the doc Friday for blood test for my estradol leave so I could start stims but it was to night :-( son I had to do three days of lupron at 20 units :-/ so I go back k tomorrow Monday for a another blood draw to check my levels they were at 53.1 they have to be under 50 to start stims the doc said I hope it is :-/ best of luck to you dear I hope all goes well this time around prayers and ******* Baby Dust ******* what were you estrdol levels if you don't mind me asking and did they do anything to lower it?

We have male factor and weren't successful in all of the ivf cycles we had done (3 fresh cycles and one frozen cycle). But guess What, I concieved my miracle daughter who is 2 years old now naturally. My husband took some vitamins to improve count and quality. So, Donot give up hopes. It will happen one day. Just take it easy and try ur best to forget about it. Wish u the best of luck and baby dust to u.

Thanks ladies :) rbcurly I'm sorry to hear that yours started too high. I'm not sure where mine started but as of yesterday I'm at 4600. I will most likely take the trigger tonight and egg retrieval wed. My doc today said it happened because I have so many eggs growing. I guess it is good news with the eggs and bad news with the estrogen. Trying to see the silver lining. Baby2011 I remember you giving me hope with your story before! my first 2 cycles (1st fresh 2nd frozen) were like what you are going through, my body reacted to the medical very radically and caused me to hyperstimulate. Even though i was able to make it through the rounds, they were not successful :( . my 3rd cycle was canceled due to 2 big cysts :( and my 4th cycle they finally got the medication dosage correct an my body didnt freak out...have they tried lowering your dosage? with the 4th cycle i did get pregnant..but with a chemical pregnancy...and that was tough to deal with...i have just started my 5th round...no frozen eggs left so i am hoping for a miracle.

Becca, wow 5 cycles. That is so much for you to go through. Are you currently on your 2ww? Praying this works for you. They actually started me out on higher dosages, hoping to stimulate me for a shorter amount of time. Due to my estrogen rising so fast though, they had to back off and tweak my meds the whole time. I am also at risk for hyperstim right now. ugh! so frustrating!

@BecaMarie it is so frustrating when they cannot get your meds right an meanwhile your suffering through the symptoms :( I hope they get it togeather soon an get you on the right path! I am actually starting my 5th round I took my first follistem shot yesterday...I am dreading my 2ww tho...i hate it its the hardest part an now i am even more scare because of what happened last time :( but hoping this is our miracle cycle! and yours too!
