Good luck
Although I did not find much relief from pain due to other medical issues, I did feel less stressed, less anxious and a lot more relaxed. Overall I felt healthier.
Prior to doing our 5th IVF cycle we focused on getting my ovaries ready to help produce good eggs and continued doing treatments through the cycle and after the ET. Although we got a BFN it was the only cycle we were able to freeze any embryos. There were only three changes made for our 5th cycle, the first was DF had found to have some sperm DNA fragmentation and treated for that (all natural treatments). The second was we changed RE's. The third was I added acupuncture.
We always made great embryos, or so the doctors always said, so I can't say for sure why this was the only time they were able to freeze some. I do believe the BFN was due to other medical issues I have. The acupuncture could have played a role in helping to make better eggs. I am not positive. But I can say that I was a lot more relaxed that cycle.
Also, we have friends who went through several failed IVF cycles and finally got a BFP after adding acupuncture. That was the only change they made. It is suppose to help stabilize hormones, get better blood flow to your uterus and help you relax more.
Can I say for sure if it works? No, but it can't hurt to do it if you can. If money is an issue you can see if there is an acupuncture school in your area. A lot of times they will do a treatment very cheap. That had been suggested to me while back for other medical reasons.
I do plan to do acupuncture with our FET. Good luck!
