My RE is adding DHEA to this cycle. The jury is still out on whether or not it actually aids conception, but it does not seem to cause any harm.

Does anyone have any experience with DHEA?

I took DHEA with IVF cycle number 3. I produced 14 eggs that time, when I\'d only produced 12 eggs each time with IVF 1 and 2. It gave me very oily skin and hair though, I got a new zit every day!

I just saw my RE today and he wants me to start DHEA this month as well. I don't personally know anyone else that has been on it so I am interested to know how you have been doing. Hope it has helped you !

I gained weight in my hips and thighs and I retained a lot of water. My RE says that the research shows that you produce more follicles, but it didn't for me. My acupuncturist says it raises your estrogen levels and this time I told my RE I don't want to take it again because my history of breast cancer in my family.

I have on DHEA for the past three months. I had similar symptoms mentioned above (oily skin, zits) but it did increase my sex drive!
I was told it was suposed to impove my egg quality but all I found happened was that I didn't get pregnant. Before taking DHEA I had no problem getting pregnant (couldn't hold a pregnancy though) after DHEA didn't get pregnant with an IUI. No idea if it had anything to do with the DHEA, but I'm assuming it didn't help.
I hope you have more success than I did.
