I'm not sure what your specific diagnosis is, but with my husband's low morphology we were told ICSI would do the trick and that it didn't matter if the sperm is not shaped correctly, as long as the DNA was intact )which it normally is). I have seen women post on this site about having DH's sperm extracted, even if immature, and used in IVF with ICSI, so I know it's possible. Sorry I can't give you more info. Best of luck to you!!!!

I did ICSI (inserting the sperm directly into the egg) and assisted hatching (weakening the outer layer of the fertilized egg to help the growing embryo break free) . I got my BFP and had a healthy boy.

We just did our first IVF cycle in June, and we had ICSI done. My DH has low morphology, so it was what we needed to do. Of the 15 eggs retrieved, 12 were mature and of those 12 that ICSI was done on, 10 fertilized. The RE said that was excellent, and meant there was no further cause for concern about the sperm quality (besides the low morph which ICSI overcomes). We didn't get pregnant, but for us ICSI was very good.

I got pregnant by IVF with ICSI and hatching assistance. My husband's sperm has all the problems, low count, slow, and morphology. Of all my 15 eggs, 14 fertilized by icsi, as the days went on that week, the embryo numbers dropped to two good ones. They continued to watch the others for two more days but they didn't grow and we did not have anything to freeze. Our doctor did give him samples of a supplement to take for his swimmers but I don't think they made a difference. But they take a few months to have an affect if they are going to. I think his problem is weight, age and 4 years on a nuclear submarine.

We did ICSI as my DH had a TESA procedure done to get the sperm. It worked for us, Good Luck!
