2ww Rollercoaster

Despite recently learning our chances of conceiving naturally are looking very unlikely, around this time each month with 1 week to go until AF is to arrive, my mind always starts to wander and I wonder if each symptom, ache, change could be my BFP waiting in the wings. I try to keep myself distracted and not think about it but that little ounce of "pleeeeease!!" sneaks in daily. My DH & I have gotten used to the ups and major down when AF does show up so not feeling very optimistic this month but there is always that small miracle chance. Meeting with FE in a couple weeks to hopefully map out our next steps, but in the meantime I can dream if I may hit the jackpot this month. Sending positive thoughts to everyone who is going through the similar monthly rollercoaster.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I'd given up hope when I was just on clomid and progesterone, but I had my first IUI last week and I'm feeling hopeful again. On the one hand it's nice to not feel the disparity of having no hope, but now I'm worried that I'm in for a hard reality check. It's all the IF roller coaster that we're living.

I'm totally with you. I go up and down every minute, let alone every day. You want to be positive, because I'm a full believer that outcomes are often a result of optimistic thinking and acting... But then I tell myself it's science and sometimes you can screw with biology. Plus I hate to get TOO positive only to be let down in a more ultimate way. So then your stuck in this limbo of whether to feel hopeful or not. It's a mind fuck like none other and the only thing that save me is not matter how neurotic I become in my head, time passes with each day.
Hope, pray, believe in that miracle.... Even if it's for a tiny bit each day, any positive thoughts are better then none. I hope this month is your miracle!

I'm totally with you there, I'm in between cycles right now and I still hope for a miracle baby when we have sex, hoping I'm one of those women that just gets pregnant after doing IVF by accident.

But hey, this is my life nothing ever works that smoothly for me :)

its the same here.. and im usually so very happy when I get my periods.. at least im at peace knowing that I dont have to be a symptom analyzer for the next 2 weeks.

Sadly no miracle month for me this go-around. Time to crack open a bottle of wine, spend time with my DH and try not to let the depression sneak in... instead trying to enjoy the time we have together. Have to say, I hate how things shift so quickly from being relieved when AF arrived in my earlier days to dreading the cramping and inevitable first signs each month knowing once more, it didn't happen for us. Life is funny that way. Sorry to sound down... just never thought this was something I'd be faced with. I'm sure we are all in that boat.
