OK, so this post is going to be a bit of TMI, but I don't know how to phrase this any other way and I'm kinda over-worrying about it (stupid anxiety tendancies). I'll start with some background, for reference.
I've never had a normal cycle. Without medical intervention my cycles would be between 62 and 72 days long and my period would be 7 days at its shortest and 20 days at its worst/longest. With medical intervention (i.e. Progesterone followed by Clomid or Letrozole), I'd have an average cycle of 34-40 days and 5 to 6 days of period. None of those cycles would have ovulation occur.
Last cycle, as some of you know, the Letrozole dose was dialed up and it worked! I ovulated, but I only have a 50% chance of getting pregnant because my left tube is blocked, so no egg can come down that side. I got a BFN this month, but since I know the Letrozole is working, I wasn't bummed by it at all.
My current cycle started on Tuesday, with some very minor spotting occuring on Monday. Today I'm back to spotting, which is what's got me worrying about it. I had one day of heavy flow, two days of moderate flow (all of which had a lot of clots... TMI, I know) and now I'm back to spotting. Since I've never had a "normal" cycle and I'm used to everyone saying that a "normal cycle" is 5-7 days of period and 28-30 days between cycle starts, I don't know what to think and of course that started my worrying.
I have to start taking the Letrozole tomorrow, but now I'm worrying about that because of the super short period. Gah! Some days I wish my anxiety would take a hike. So yeah, here's my question: Is it normal to have a 3 day period?

After reading your comments, and talking to my DH, my anxieties have calmed and I'm able to see that I shouldn't be worrying about the length of it. Especially since the first day was heavy enough that I was changing my pad (can't use tampons) every two hours. I should be happy that it happened by itself, and start focusing on taking the Letrozole and then the monitoring for ovulation.
