So my ivf orientation is next month. I am nervous because even though I have read all I can read about ivf, I have gone through all preliminary testing, even had both tubes removed, THIS IS THE KICK OFF of my ivf. To be honest with you all this scares the hell out of me! All the doctors, shots, medicines, and procedures sheesh. for every positive thought I have there is a negative. I'm not backing down cause there is no amount of doubts that can keep me away from my baby, but I really needed to vent! What if this doesn't work. I am beyond scared to set myself up for this to fail;. I won't drag out my post I'm just looking for words of encouragement advise warnings or whatever you guys can offer.

You're brave to try something so scary and uncertain. Keep up the mentality that you have; that nothing can keep you from your potential baby. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat as you! Had my left tube removed in May and the right one was opened and repaired but most likely not working. I just had my orientation for IVF last week. I went and got a second opinion as well from a different doctor to make sure I was making the right decision. I can tell you one thing ... based on what the doctors told me issues with tubes are a mechanical one therefore doing IVF should work. After all the research I've done and going to 2 different RE's and getting an opinion from my obgyn I have strong faith that IVf works for tubal issues. . I'm scared as hell of it all and a small part of me is freaking out about it not working so you are not alone! Vent away girl, this whole process of dealing with IF, testing, meds, various procedures, etc. is crazy scary! I haven't been down the IVF road myself but there have been so many success stories recently and i hope and pray that you will be sharing your IVF success story VERY soon!!!
Sending you lots of prayers, good ju ju and crossing my fingers toes and titties for you :D

Good luck! I know it is so scary to start. It really is the most effective method that there is, and you want the best there is! I'm about to do my retrieval, I made it with minimal mistakes and issues, ha! Try to slow down (I know that is hard) and digest what they are saying (meds, times, etc.) There is this sense of importance, but it shouldn't be urgency, cause that only adds to the stress. Relax. Take stuff off the table (appointments, cooking dinner, whatever) and do what you want. I'm not one to sit and relax, but I made time for just sitting around and I'm glad I did. We are here for you :)
