I have gotten to the point in my healing journey, that "surrender" has become a "constant" in my life.....You might want to try it and see how it works for you! As I have shared with many, there have been days that I surrender that "I don't know what to surrender today!" because I was too busy knowing what was best for me! NOT!
ie: This morning I surrenderer my relationship with my sister, my daughter, my pain (I have a physical challenge), my frustration, my anger, my fears, resentments, my thoughts, my challenges, etc.
Then, I will always ask for Divine Guidance.
For me, this has been one of the best tools I have ever used!

Yes, I totally am with ya on that...I've been doing this for almost 30yrs and I still take it back and act/react/get triggered by situations..So, I certainly understand. Plus, I used to have a strong need to be "right" so it was a double whammy for me when came to surrendering..
If you want, you might try surrendering exactly what you said:
" I am a fighter, and give nothing up, ever, it seems. I have to wrassle with it like a dog on a bone. What I would give for surrender, for the capability to DO thAT "
I feel when we surrender these types of things, we are no longer fighting them/keeping them inside/wrestling with them.,,,and it's not being phony....it's our truth.
