Incest Survivors Support Group
Incest refers to any sexual activity between closely related persons that is illegal or socially taboo. Consensual adult incest is very rare. Incest between adults and prepubescent or adolescent children is a form of child sexual abuse that has been shown to be one of the most extreme forms of childhood trauma. If you or a loved one is a survivor of incest, join the group...
Have you seen a physician? I'm not a bit surprised that chronic pelvic pain often accompanies childhood sex abuse, but it's still not normal, and all kinds of treatment is available depending on the cause.
Sexual assault survivors are at risk for sexually transmitted diseases including low grade, chronic infections that are easily treated, but left untreated can result in bigger problems.
If you don't have a regular gynecologist your local Planned Parenthood can get you taken care of.
Hope you feel better soon.
I have been having pelvic pain for about a year and a half now. I personally feel that it's an expression and body memory of incest, which I spend a lot of time trying to forget. It waxes and wanes and moves around but spends most of its time where I imagine my left ovary is. Sometimes it hurts so bad I collapse. But there have been no "physical" issues found with it.
I assume you have been to a doctor, but if you feel it's related to sexual abuse, i think you should respect that. Have you read "The Body Never Lies" by Alice Miller? It's one of my favourite books, but it's really intense and emotional to read, so be prepared.
I hope you feel better soon, or at least find your path to feeling better
The first thing is to be seen by Dr and get a proper DX and go from there.
I found that doing Keigle (google it) exercizes and using a pillow helped a lot. Everything else battling memories and such had to be worked out as well. I was tightening up because of it. Once aware, I could combat it more.
Of course if its other issues, the Dr can best address them.
I hope this helped. A bit embarassing for me but worth it all in the end.
Good luck!
