Incest refers to any sexual activity between closely related persons that is illegal or socially taboo. Consensual adult incest is very rare. Incest between adults and prepubescent or adolescent children is a form of child sexual abuse that has been shown to be one of the most extreme forms of childhood trauma. If you or a loved one is a survivor of incest, join the group...

I say this because you obviously still feel the need to protect yourself from him. Why would you even consider allowing him to live with you? This just sounds very dangerous to me.
There are some really good locks, such as sliding bolts and such, which cannot be picked, but I would really think long and hard about the decision you are making. His breaking your trust as a child seems to me to be enough reason to tell him you shouldn't allow him in your house, especially at night. Would you really be able to sleep knowing he is there and an obvious continued threat? Unless this man has made INCREDIBLE reparations to you for what he did, I hope you reconsider allowing him in.
Check with a locksmith if you do allow him to stay with you while you are sleeping and see what they recommend. Personally, I would also invest in a Tazer while you are at it.
All my best - and I hope it works out well....

If you do allow this to happen, I like Refuse's suggestions. Also if you like cats I would suggest a siamese since they are well known for defending there "family", you. Or a dog, pepper spray and maybe even a stun gun, yet check your local laws first.
You could always say "Dad, what you did to me has caused great distress in my life, I struggle daily as I attempt to live with the memories you left me. So dad, "enjoy" your struggle as I do mine!" Click...
Why are you even considering letting him come to live with you???
What about your safety? Your peace of mind? Are you willing to live with the anxiety his presence will create?
If you feel you owe your father something then help him find another place to live but for Pete's sake don't let him move in with you.
Since you're asking how to be safe you're obviously scared. Don't do this.

You have the right to say 'no' to him, however much he tries to guilt trip you or exploit your natural compassion.
Please do not let him come and stay with you. You deserve to feel safe, at least in your own home.
I think you have no obligation to have anything to do with that creep! He can go live in a box under a bridge, and good riddance.
Now, on the same token, if you have to do these things to protect yourself from your dad, i would kick him out, and get a restraining order, plus press charges against him... but be warned, if you do press charges, his attorney might use the fact of him living there against you, but the D A should be able to counter that...
We are all always here for you!
Always come on here and talk... you are loved here, also you are alot stronger than you think, just being here!!!

And a peep hole would be good, in case he has some "emergency" in the middle of the night, so you can see if he has his clothes on.
But I still think you should tell him to go elsewhere for his lodgings. Leopards don't change their spots.
