I have found that some people who are supportive overall will refuse to listen to anything having to do with the abuse; mostly good friends who are males. Maybe it is like being homophobic or something. Or maybe only a survivor can deal with the whole stinking mess.

They do the same with my father......Unconscionable it makes so angry but that is wha they do and how they are..................disgusting.

Thank you all for your support, sharing and help I know I need to start doing things for me and not my family and I took my first steps by not letting my mom decide things for me .. old habits are hard to break especially when that's the role you think you was born to live ... in order to break away from this curss I'm going to try and put me first its about time I do..

It will take time, old habits and ingrained misplaced guilt are hard to break through. Take it steady, and don't be discouraged if you don't manage it all in one go, or if you find yourself reverting.

This path will not be smooth or easy, or quick. You will stumble but to succeed all you need to do is keep going. And the further you go, the more you will feel the benefits and the easier it will become.
