curious to see if my situation is an ED issue.. and something that cialis or viagra might fix....

so my fiance and i are waiting till marriage to have sex - as in intercourse - but we are still sexually active ... oral, dry-humping, etc etc

but i never seem to have any drive, and when i do, its very speradic and at unusual times.... other than that, almost no urge

i suffer from depression and anxiety... so i am under medication for that, which also seems to kill my sex drive

i get no pleasure from it... and sometimes its hard to maintain an erection - either while being sexual, or during masterbation - and sometimes i can't get myself to stay hard and orgasim....

ur thoughts please

First of all you should get to know why you have issues with ED and figure it out if drugs would be any help. We distinguish two kinds of ED, physical and psychological and both have different treatment. I don't want to scary you, but ED may be symptom of something different. If you are taking anti-depressants, a very common side effect is sexual dysfunction. This can be loss of libido, ED, an anorgasmia (unable to orgaasm).

So, you need to discuss this with your doc. You need a physical to make sure something else isn't going on (high blood pressure, diabetes, and etc.). If the physical comes back OK, you might consider trying a different anti-depressant to see if you can find one with fewere side effects.

Viagra will treat some symptoms (ED) but not others (libido and anorgasmia).

I would see if I could address the source of the anxiety or see if you Doc recommends another drug. Wellbutrin, Buspar, Paxil, prozac, to name a few can affect desires in positive and negatives. Buspar has the least affects but may not fit your clinical issue. I read your post and wondered did your ED start after taking medications ? Did you change your dose or medications?

Now is also hard to address issues like this as getting married and not having sex is adding to your anxiety I would think.

The other side of this coin is your health, ED meds why popular are not antacids and should not be popped like they are. There are serious implications for some who take ED meds.
Your heart and even anxiety could be affected.

I would see a gastrologist first after talking with my DR, to see where you are health wise before perusing ED meds.

You need to see a doc. Anti depressents can cause both lack of libido and ED. So can being depressed. Those with this issue usually need to get to the cause of their depression. That in turn may take a while.
