Hysterectomy Support Group
A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus, usually done by a gynecologist. Hysterectomy may be total (removing the body and cervix of the uterus) or partial (also called supra-cervical). Although there are conservative alternatives, hysterectomy is performed for uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, pelvic relaxation, heavy or abnormal menstrual bleeding, and cancer.
I am having restless leg post surgery at 8 weeks. I have never had leg restless leg before.
I called my dr. office and they said drink plenty of water. Being dehydrated can cause restless legs i was told. And if I am not better in a few days to call back.
When my legs started bothering me i made a point to eat some bananas for the potassium. NOt sure it it has helped or not.
I did a little searching on the net about restless leg but nothing clicked for sure helpful. one site mentioned withdrawa from pain meds can cause restless legs.
Any thoughts experiences , relief found?

I am having restless leg from hormone related and medicines I am taking. I am trying to find a way to cope and my drs are trying to sorta help with finding meds and the amounts that will keep my hormones levels okay and stop the restless leg mess. YOu all know... if it is not one thing it is another; get one fire out and another starts; get one health issue dealt with in a manageable way and another crops ups.
