I just found out my thyroid test was 0.01. Can someone tell me about a low thyroid and what to expect when I go to the doctor? My gynecologist did the blood work, but I need to see my family doctor for treatment. Any information is appreciated.
Anyway, your Dr willprobbaly start you on Synthroid, which is the standard treatment, at a lower dose at first, then it will get raised gradually until your bloodwork checks out. Then, it will need to be monitored regularly to make sure you stay optimal. Good luck!
