After another horrible day of severe heat exhaustion, anxiety and irritability, i went to the ER. They did my tsh and free t4. No free t3. My tsh was 18.7 (down from 64 a month ago). My free t4 was 0.7 the dr said he didn't think all of my symptoms were thyroid related. They gave me ativan while i was there.

I am so depressed that today i wrote my own obituary. Im not going to take my life, but have thought an awful lot about death this past week. Prob becuz i FEEL like i am dying.

Any advice??? Thank you

I got my levo rx report. It doesn't mak much sense to me. I contacted my endo about the er visit. She said to stay on the .200 mcg and to have my tsh checked in two weeks. I asked the nurse "what am i supposed to do about the awful symptoms i am having. The response...."she doesn't know". I talked to my pharmacist about the whole thing. He told me he has heard bad things about her as well from other people. In the meantime i am in living HELL. I alternate between feeling like crying and feeling like a total beotch. I turn on a dime and it SUCKS. I ALSOam extremely senstive to noise, particularly bassloud deep noises. I truly wish i could just die.

Well well welll....i got my labwork order from my endo. She wants it retested on 4/1/13.....GUESS WHAT????? she not only ordered tsh but free T4 as well.....not the freet3 though....i wonder why she NEVER checked the t4 before....before my visit to the er recently that is....hmmmm?????

So sorry. Looks like your endo does not think the Ft3 is important. Would you be able to tell your endo that you want an Ft3, because it is your body and you should have a say so in what you want.

I told my NP what I wanted and she filled it in, but instead of Ft3 I got the unreliable Total T3. This test is useless.

Sometimes insurances don't want to pay for some test, so if you have insurance you may want to okay it with them to get your Ft3 test.
