Okay my dog (chihuahua) has been losing hair so I took him to the vet today and the doctor started explaining to me that it could be due to a thyroid imbalance and I was like "oh geez please dont tell me my dog is trying to take after me!!" So the doctor ordered a thyroid blood panel and I am upset that my dogs doctor is more thorough than most human doctors he ordered t3, t4, ft4, and aa. My first doctor only ordered TSH and my second doctor ordered t4 and tsh. sigh. I hope my dog doesn't have a thyroid imbalance though...sigh...such is life i guess...

Lynne thanks for your reply. Do you have a pet with a thyroid imbalance? I hope my pup doesnt have it. The bloodwork is expensive...too expensive to be getting redone every 6 months!
I hope your little dog is alright. I understand completely about the expense; ours are bad enough, huh? I have had animals with other chronic conditions, and the expense does get to be a bit much at times. But, they are worth it, I think. Good luck!
