I've been told I need therapy, but I never needed 'therapy' before and my life is a million times better now than it ever has been, aside from this medication/disease crap.
You are so not even alone!
I was told the depression goes with the hypothyroidism and anxiety too. I think it's all the brain chemistry/master gland thing...our thyroids are big parts of our bodies doing well.
I know the struggle my dear. Some days I barely feel alive. But like you, I cry or get upset over anything. Or I might feel happy or joyful, but it's hard to remember things too. I feel mostly flat..okay..just kinda flat.
I take zoloft to fight off symptoms of anxiety and depression. It helps some but honestly I remember being a very joyful person when I was younger.

There are answers out there. Don't just listen to your doctor and pop pills for all your symptoms when you can treat the CAUSE. My doctor tried to get me to take anti-depressants and I refused because I am totally against them. Don't ever give up. You just need to make the decision to get better!
It is just so hard to be patient, I am really struggling just waiting to feel better. I want to be better now and get on with my life!!!!!
I was diagnosed with Hoshimoto's when I was 19. I am several years older than that now (not in my head) but time wise yep I'm older! lol
I think i've struggled emotionally all my life but stress never helps..had heaps of it like most people..and stress alters our bodies in so many ways
have you undergone any major stresses...positive or negative recently?
BUT I've always been really good at handling stress, even as a kid and growing up, and I've always been really good at finding a positive way to look at bad things happening. And I can with all of those stressful things, I can see the positive, and it doesn't stress me out as much. None of my symptoms make any sense to me.
