Ok, so I went in for my 6 week lab results. and she said they were lower than last time.
I'll back up: 6 weeks ago I went in she switched me to synthroid because I was having palpations at the visit (but I told her I didn't even notice or know that I was) so she put me on 25mg of synthroid. Then she told me on my last ultrasound of my thyroid, my nodule is growing so she then debated on doing another biopsy, but chose not to. I then tell her that at the top and to the right of my neck (right under my jaw bone) I had a swollen lymph node that had been there for years, but I wasn't sure if she would be the one to discuss it with. Well she felt it and ordered an ultrasound of that.
Now fast forward to a few days ago, my new check up. My levels are lower than before? What? So then I asked her do we want to add T3 at all, because at the start of all of this we discovered that my T4 doesn't convert to the T3 very well if at all. So she decided to switch me to Armour again but put me on 60 mg of it this time. In July when we discovered I was hashitoxosis I was only on 30mg. So now I am worried for that again! I don't get it. Then I asked her about my ultrasound of my neck, she didn't read the report properly and said I had two new nodules on the right side of my thyroid. I told her that the ultrasound was of my neck not the thyroid, she is the one who ordered it, ok so then she reads it more carefully and says "aww yes, two nodules on the right side of neck" then she tells me she will give me the name of an ent because this isn't her expertise!?! Seriously, why did she not say that 6 weeks ago and I would have gone there from the start! I was furious. I'm mad because she switched me to synthroid (I spent a few weeks with my hair falling out) and now switched me back to Armour at a much higher dose than I have ever been on, oh and decides to take me off the perscribed vitamin D and tells me to take 5 of the over the counter vitamin D a day. and I still need my vitamin B12 uped.
I can't take beta blockers because my blood pressure is always in the too low zone, but they don't do anything about it. I'm still having seizures, I still have bad IBS-D flare ups, and now I need to go to a different doctor. I'm ready to go to my pcp and give him an update on everything and see if he knows of a different endo or see if he can help me further.
oh and I asked her why she wasn't ordering free T3 and free T4 tests with my labs and she tells me insurance hasn't been wanting to pay for them, they are too expensive now. I have not recieved one bill from when they were testing them and I know for a fact my insurance will pay for it. So she agreed to order a free T4, and "see" what happens. I'm so angry and exhausted from being angry. I've had it with dumb docs!

Sorry you're having such a bad time, makes me wonder about our whole educational system, even colleges, you know?
Really the majority of Endos (80%) deal with those who have diabetes.
