It has been a months without meds, going back to endo next Wednesday. Have not done as well as I had hoped they took me off methimazol cause after RAI levels were way to low. Feel like crap this past week has been the worst. Gained weight back and legs hurt and feel like they weigh 1000 lbs apiece and so tired of being depressed, tired and can't sleep. I get up and an hour later I'm done for the day totally. What makes me so mad is that half the symptoms I tell her about she always tells me they are not thyroid related. Tried some energy womens vitamins and they don't help. My day ois done before it gets started and I'm so tired of it. I feel as if I'm letting everyone down that has always depended on me. I have a great husband and he tells me he is good and to hang in there but really, how long can he take this. Just like when I'm hyper my decision making is horrible. I would be Ok if they all left the house and just left me alone for the weekend so I don't have to do anything. Have a big wedding to go to this weekend, our grandson is getting married and i so just wanna stay home, not up to partying and it is not like it is his first wedding. My attitude and my body just stinks. A new new symptom I wanted to ask about is that I very light headed for a few seconds and then it passes does anyone else do this.

I feel the exact same way you are feeling. Cannot move, cannot get enough sleep, Im done with the day and feel like I cant go on after 10 AM. I feel sooo heavy, like I have to force myself to move, or even speak. Its nice to know these symptoms arent just in my head like Ive been told by doctors over and over.

Good Lord! I have about 50 of these symptoms CONSTANTLY. And my numbers have never been right in the 15 or so years I have been treated for hypothyroid.....I am imaging right now how good I COULD feel if I could ever find a doctor who got it right!

After I had RAI for Graves in 2004, my thyroid levels went up and down for awhile. As the RAI starts dying off the thyroid, it spurts out hormones and you go hyper, then back to hypo.

I'm really sorry to hear how depressed you sound in your post. I've been depressed off and on since I was 12. It's really hard to go to social things when your depressed and really tired. I know I hardly leave the house any longer, just too sick right now. I've been reading Vonpat's post, I think he says it very well. This is just a hard journey to go through, we have to take it one day at a time. Go to the wedding with no expectations. And if you have to, just think how good it will feel to get home from the big event, kick off your shoes, change your clothes and just lay down if that's what you want to do. That's how I get through these events that should be memorable and fun but are just exhausting to me. Were important to people, so we need to show up in our lives as much as we can. Even though were dreaming of going back to bed. How you feel better soon.

Snippy, you need thyroid replacement hormone NOW! Your doctor is a jerk, I'm afraid. I knew this would happen to you... The RAI worked and you're HYPO. You need meds asap! What's wrong with her??

Please BEG if you have to to have labs done (FT3 and 4 and tsh) to confirm you're hypo now and need treatment, or find another doc who will treat this, it's serious! Most people go hypo 3 months after RAI.
