Hypothyroidism Support Group
Hypothyroidism is the disease state caused by insufficient production of thyrohormone by the thyroid gland. There are several distinct causes for chronic hypothyroidism, the most common being Hashimoto's thyroiditis and hypothyroidism following radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroidism. Advanced hypothyroidism may cause severe complications, the most serious one of which is...
Sorry you are still dealing with symptoms. Does 'seem' to be adrenal related vs the thyroid, considering those labs. I agree with what Laus81 said here. I'm thinking you are likely pooling thyroid hormone from too low a dose of HC. It would be interesting to know what a saliva cortisol test would show right now.

JeepGirl: Good links!
DR: Um, one thing at a time. If you don't think it's thyroid related, why mess with it? Just MHO. Take it for what it's worth.
As you guys know, I achieved complete relief of all symptoms by working with my doctor to optimize my thyroid hormone levels.
It's my understanding that inappropriate adrenal levels can cause many of the same symptoms as hypothyroidism.....low energy being one of them.
I didn't learn of the importance of adrenal testing before my doctor started me on thyroid meds but I don't think adrenals are an issue for me in light of where I am right now. Same deal with sex hormones. I don't want to go looking for pink elephants lol
However, for those of us having issues despite optimal thyroid levels, it certainly makes sense to investigate other possible causes....and, based upon what I *do* know about sex/adrenal hormones, imbalances can definitely affect how one feels.
If you're willing to share the labs, meds and doses before the most recent ones...as well as your current meds/doses, I'll attempt to brainstorm thyroid with you.
It's always helpful to look at where we've been to help figure things out moving forward.
I can't wait to here your results. Maybe I'll suggest taking that test to my doctor.
