I've been seeing my endo for just under a year now, and feel no closer to treatment. Every time i see him it just feels like blockade after blockade!!
I've been passed back and forth, various blood work has been taken, and a specialist who I saw recently advised that I required Thyroid, TRT & HGH supplementation.
I was also told a semen analysis would be a good idea, so I opted for this also.
The results of this were today discussed with my regular endocrinologist. I am "subfertile" yet still able to conceive through IVF. He noted that my most recent blood testosterone level was 3.3nmol/L.
He told me that he wished to start me on the thyroid medication, thyroxine as soon as possible, as this can have a positive effect on the other negatively impacted hormones. He wishes me to have a follow up bloodtest & appointment with him in 10 weeks time to discuss the outcome of this, and further steps. He does not wish to start me on testosterone as this may adversely impact fertility, and does not want to start me on growth hormone replacement due to "NHS guidelines" on how they proceed.
So here's my question - this has been going on a year, I've felt lower than I ever have in my life, and it feels as though with every follow up, and every blood test that I'm not going anywhere. He's now also said that I wouldn't get testosterone treatment for another 7-10 months! Is the above correct? Has anyone else from the UK or elsewhere had a similar experience?
I'd really appreciate any feedback, right now I do feel truly lost.
Here's the results of my most recent blood analysis. They are without measurements so I've written them exactly how I've been given them (printed as a flowsheet) I apologise as I don't have what the units have been measured in, only the number (cheers NHS, bang up job as always!)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I assume he does not want to start the testosterone now because of your desire to have kids. TRT does take over for the testies, so they kind of shut down and start to shrink.
I imagine he is trying to preserve your ability to have kids.
I feel for you because I bet you feel like a guinea pig. Unfortunately, you kind of are -- which is why its called "practicing" medicine.
Just hang in there and keep communicating with your doc's, even your frustrations.
