Hypochondria Support Group
Hypochondria refers to excessive worry about having a serious illness. Hypochondria is often characterized by fears that minor bodily symptoms may indicate a serious illness, constant self-examination and self-diagnosis, and a preoccupation with one's body. Many individuals with hypochondriasis express doubt and disbelief in the doctors' diagnosis.

i have been worrying much for my health for a while now. have been to the ER countless times with gastritis. But my biggest fear is to suffering a fatal sudden disease like a heart attack or a stroke all of sudden, and i am all the time waiting for the worst. Those last three weeks have been horrendous. My last illness was Paroxysmal positional benign vertigo, terrible dizziness and about to finish my treatment. have took clonazepam for three years for anxiety. Those last three weeks i have been between the fear of a heart attack, a stroke, "pneumothorax" and so on. Two weeks ago i was hospitalized for gastroenteritis, and every time i go to to ER its a trauma for me. Nothing seems to help. The last two days i have been suffering of horrendous tachycardias and pain in the chest, and i'm super scared. My blood pressure is normal to little high, measuring it few times a day. I've had ecocardiogram twice and several ekg, without showing anything wrong. Still, i feel like dying. I can go out much, my tachycardias have been when going out, and staying in home stresses me more. I have a little of a problem gambling too, trying to quit gambling while i feel bad. my grandpa died three weeks ago of pneumonia and sepsis. suffered a stroke ten years ago and was very handicaped.
im 21 years old, 6'0 tall and 130 pounds. im pretty skinny because of the many gastric episodes i've had. since march i have suffered dysenteria, gastroenteritis, giardiasis and vertigo. i try to eat the healthiest posible. i have a sleep disorder, i always go bed like 4 am and wake up at 12-1 pm. i stopped going to shrinks like a year ago, and instead im going to a psychologist. i take one 0,5 clonazepam pill at night every day, one in the afternoon since two days. dont helps much. Please, i accept any suggerences. This is a horrible situation im living. im afraid of doing anything, and the slightlest disturbance can set me off. Thanks, and may god be with us.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Some suggestions: blueberries, high fiber cereal, high fiber wheat bread, beans, apples, etc.
Glad you are here, we understand your fear, your pain and your suffering. There are wonderful people here who will truly help :)
