Okay, well
first of all im 19 years old and i am diagnosed with a panic and anxiety disorder and depression.
But lately i have been experiencing symptoms different from the ones i have been experiencing in the past.
Now i have a really rapid pulse, horrible mood swings, brain fog, memory problems, dry eyes and hurting eyes (changes in vision), swollen neck glands, i cant swallow really good, nervousness more than before, sweating more than usual, warm feeling ALL THE TIME ( almost like i have a fever 24/7, but with no temperature or any other symptoms but the ones explained), headaches, and oh yeah, my menstrual cycle was weird this time around, it was really light and i have never had that before, except for when i was on B.C. and that was like 4 years go.
Could this be Hyperthyroidism or something else like a brain tumor or something, god im really scared and confused.
They checked it about 5 years ago and said that it was slightly elevated, but i honestly think i have it.

Hey hon, you sound like a walking textbook explanation of Graves....yes you probably have it....if your levels were elevated 5 years ago, I'm sure they're even worse now. Please get help... you'll feel a LOT better with meds!

p.s. NOT brain tumor, just hyper thyroid, but it CAN make you feel really bad at first, and you have almost all the symptoms.

i was diagnosed with panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder 3 years ago. it turns out i really have hyperthyroidism. it is very common for this to be missed or misdiagnosed. demand your doctor test your thyroid levels if necessary. the longer it goes untreated the worse you will feel. when i was finally diagnosed i had not been out of bed in 12 days. i just laid there crying from the anxiety and wanting to crawl out of my skin. the meds help. i see an endocrinologist next week to find out what is causing it but my regular doctor has really helped me with meds in the meantime.

It sounds like graves disease to me too. You have all the symptoms I had. My period actually stopped. Im sure I had it for about 4 years before I was diagnosed. When my TED showed up, thats when they finally did the right tests. You've been given very good advice...get your thyroid tested. Make sure they test your TSH and Free T4 and T3. Once your on meds you will start to feel better in about 2 weeks. Good luck to you and I hope you start feeling better soon.
