Hyperhidrosis Support Group
Primary hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Some patients afflicted with the condition experience a distinct reduction in the quality of life. Sufferers feel at a loss of control because perspiration takes place independent of temperature and emotional state.
I have but it seems like nothing works. I don't get it. Something is terribly wrong with me.
Thanks!
I think if you feel your excessive sweating is triggered by you being nervous then you should definitely find effective ways to relax and control your nerves. You should maybe try meditating or other relaxation methods that will help you especially during social settings. I would also recommend taking anticholinergic medications like glycopyrrolate. There are other ones you can check out here- http://sweatthroughit.com/stop-excessive-sweating-with-anticholinergic-medications-for-hyperhidrosis/. Give avert a try it works great when it comes to reducing sweat and I feel the side effects are mild compared to stopping the excessive sweating.
It seems Heather and I have the same thing happening. My underarm sweating from nervousness is sooo bad that I want to cry, and go hide in a hobbit hole! lol ;-)
My condition started a few years back when I quit smoking cigarettes.
If anyone has any suggestions for my specific underarm sweating, please feel free to send me a message.
Please do not send me messages about dating, as no matter where I am on a date at, who I am with, or how they react when or if I tell them, makes absolutely no difference...I sweat excessively either way.
Lately it has gotten to be so bad that I wear sweatshirts/hoodies to soak it up and hide it. But still, I soak through those sometimes as well.
I tried all kinds of thing but my wife had a patient that has the same issue and she told me what helped her. I stared taking the generic version of Robinul. I started off with one mg. morning and one at night, within two days I increased it to 3 in the am and 3 in the pm.
OMG It has radically changed my life. Please let me know if you decide to take it and if it helps.
