Hyperhidrosis Support Group
Primary hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Some patients afflicted with the condition experience a distinct reduction in the quality of life. Sufferers feel at a loss of control because perspiration takes place independent of temperature and emotional state.
I used to take Rubinol 1 time after breakfast, and again before bedtime. It seemed to work decent for a while, but it's not full-proof.
I also used Drysol for my palms every night before bed.
I really thought when I started that I had finally found something that would help - outside of surgery and expensive botox. I was diagnosed at 4 years old and have had to deal with extreme hand/foot sweat for the last 28 years. Which has continued to develop into lower back, thighs and, of course, always in armpits. It is a real drain and I guess I am back to square one because I can't vouch for any medications or topical treatments anymore. :(
I should mention too I am very health conscious with no other interactions. I don't take any other medications outside occasional sodium naproxen for pain.
I am vegetarian, very healthy and exercise, but this medicine makes me angry and still sweaty. I am not sure what else to try as it just feels useless at this point. My thoughts are your body adapts to it and just works around it somehow.
