Hyperhidrosis Support Group
Primary hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Some patients afflicted with the condition experience a distinct reduction in the quality of life. Sufferers feel at a loss of control because perspiration takes place independent of temperature and emotional state.
Therefore I personally would always advise against surgery. The results / effects are permanent, and whilst this may actually sound good, it of course also means the side-effects are pretty-much permanent too.
If it was me (knowing what I know now) I would utilise every possible non-surgical route (such as iontophoresis for example) to get the best control possible without surgery.
Best of luck.
if you want to look up this information. I pulled this article about 2 years ago and kept it. I thought it was interesting.
I am scheduled to have Botox injections done on my palms soon. Hopefully, the procedure works. If not, I will look into ETS4 surgery.
