Primary hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Some patients afflicted with the condition experience a distinct reduction in the quality of life. Sufferers feel at a loss of control because perspiration takes place independent of temperature and emotional state.

Church, we always have to hold hands

I wish I could stay till the end of the service, but I hate holding hands. My hands become sweaty and will actually drip. lol I have to unlock hands with people to wipe them off. It's embarrassing and I'm sure, not very pleasant for the people holding my hands. Anyway, just venting.

I definitely understand that! It sucks and it's awkward because you don't know what the other person is feeling/thinking holding a wet hand. D: Especially if you have to shake hands the first time with someone, I feel like that makes you look like a nervous wreck, when sweating is normal for you.

When I was religious, I dreaded that part. I feel your pain. I would sometimes just give my mom a kiss and and then just avoid everyone else..very awkward..

I used to go to church every Sunday, and i insisted to sit in the middle of my family members, so when we had to hold hand during prayer or singing, i didn't have to hold stranger's hands.

But sometimes people were so touchy, like "please shake hands or hug people behind you and in front of you".

And then the after church handshakes.

I figured out a plan. I purchased some leather fingerless gloves. I guess their used for riding or just to look cool, but that has worked for me just fine. No questions asked. :)

I totally remember those days. I used to dread the shaking of the hands part too. My hands, never failed, to be DRIPPING WET. SOAKED! People don't know what is wrong with you and judge you. I always hated that part. It sucked!
