So basically I'm recovering from the HRA in a similar fashion to my last two surgeries. Waiting for the kegel muscles to get back to normal so I can control my pee and I have a week or two of sitz baths to look forward to. Yay...*LOL*.
My doctor wants to see me in six months for an ANAL PAP SMEAR. If there's still more abnormal cells, then I'll have to go through another HRA. Hoping everything will be normal in six months.
Today it's been a week since my appointment and I didn't hear anything back from the hospital staff. One of my good friends was telling me that no news is likely good news. But I needed to hear it for myself. So I called and left message with the staff. They called me ten minutes later and confirmed that my results came back normal and that basically I just need to come back in one year for a follow up.
I'm SOOOOO happy. It's been a crazy journey and I know it's not over but I'm hopeful that my HPV for now is in remission.
On a side note, it's funny I have to follow up even though they promised to call me by end of last week. Guess they want to make sure you're awake...*LOL*.
