What kind of surgery did toy have? I'm curious I had a couple anal warts that are now gone but the itch is back.

oyveyy77 for both of my surgeries I had what was called "EUA with excision and fulgeration of anal condyloma". In other words basically they burned and cut the warts out.

Every now and then I feel an itch but it doesn't stay long. Really hoping this crap isn't back again. I'll know in three weeks.

I forget if I have to follow up again in another six months if it's clear or if it's a year.

My surgery was last Jan30/12 its all most a year now I have to do the check up so for me its once a year. I get itch on and off but I think its normal we all get a itch now and then. hope for the best

Are you taking any vitamins to help your immune system too?

As far as vitamins I'm not taking a mult-vitamin but I've been taking daily spirulina, chlorella, and alternating between triple mushroom complex (shitake, amitake, reishi) and cat's claw. The latter two are supposed to be good for your immune system. I've also been drinking almost daily 32 oz of green smoothies (my greens usually are kale or dandelion along with parsley and cilantro). Hopefully one of those will help.

SIgh. I misunderstand my colorectal specialist. I was hoping today's appointment he would use the very first machine that he used to first diagnose my having this nightmarish situation in the first place.

But he wants to put me under again and basically do a more through detail of the anal area. This is because my pathology results from last surgery showed dysplasia and while it's not likely cancerous, it did show a "slight" change to my cells and the only way to examine is through some microscope.

Uggh...so now I have to go through another damn physical, take another damn test for staph, and then do the same prep work prior to whenever I schedule this (just in case they find something while examining me). I swear...I'm a little peeved right now but I know it's part of the process so I'll deal.

On bright side at least to his naked eye, I don't have any evidence of warts.

I'm sorry to hear the follow up process is not going to be as easy as you hoped. On the other hand it sounds like good news that visually they see nothing. I would also say that it is good to hear they are going to do such a thorough follow up. When it comes back okay, I'm thinking positive, that should be quite a relief knowing that they thoroughly checked. I hope things go well for you. Good luck!

Was the EUA surgery internal or external?

Also, could you walk normally after?

Even though I haven't seen anything obvious for the last couple weeks I've been experiencing the itching and feeling the tingling sensation down there so I think something may still be going on (it could be because of my anal dysplasia)...so the close up probably will be a good thing. Oddly enough I've been applying coconut oil down there for the last few days and noticed the tingling has stopped though it's still slightly itchy at times. I've read the lauric acid in the coconuts is supposed to be beneficial. I figure at this point it can't hurt.

Floatingboat....your last comment put a smile on my face. Yes I was able to walk normally afterwards. I was under local anaesthesia (can never spell that word) so I was a little out of it afterwards but otherwise was able to walk fine. The EUA was internal.

If I ever have warts inside I don't want to do cryotherapy, I've heard horror stories of people not being able to walk for a week or two after. (I used Aldara once to the point where I had blisters completely covering my labias and anus and could not get out of bed for 3 days and could not walk normally for 1 1/2 weeks). So if I ever need immediate treatment I would like to be able to walk after haha :P
