Just to share one info with you guys and would like to have some humble opinion to put a stop on this mental torture..
I still remember 15 years back where my mom used to have warts on her hand.. A lot of them actually, scientifically its been identified as HPV-1. My mom had some tough time to get rid of it, where she tried several method to remove them... After few years, she managed to get rid of it (totally) and she is free from warts on her hand till today. In this 15 years, she was treated for heart attack, high blood pressure and broken ankle where she had to go for surgery. She was terribly ill at one time where Morfin was used to ease her after her ankle operation. To my surprise, the warts never reoccur at all.
I believe all HPV strain works the same and I believe with my mother's experience, once we clear from the virus for quite some time, most probably it won't come back even your immune system is compromised. Unless the warts on hand and gw/ oral warts works differently which I believe not as it comes from same virus.

I do know that, when I was younger (5 to 10 years old) I use to get warts on my hands and feet ALL the time. Most of them were treated, but some were not and went away on their own. Since then, as long as I can remember, I have not had a single wart on my hands or feet. So, I think you make a good point, and although the strain may be different, I'm trying to think of these warts as being the same as warts on your hands and feet. It's annoying, but just relax, treat it, and eventually they will go away.
