Painful treatments

I realized I have HPV a little more than a month ago.
I had cryotherapy, the treatment itself was very painful, but nothing compared with the agony of the recovery, I'd curse and cry out loud every time I had to pee.
After the most horrible 2 weeks of my life it kinda started getting better, but a week ago I went for a check up and although the cervix is spotless clean now, the warts started to spread to the outside of my vagina, so instead of another cryo session, the Dr decided to put some chemical solution to burn the hell oout of my nether regions, and even if I have to admit is less horrible than the cryo recovery, I still have to bite a towel every time I need to use the bathroom.
My point is, is there anything in particular that any of you found helpful during the recovery? Because regular painkillers are not helping much and morphine is not legal :p

Honestly speaking, no treatment for warts is painless. I tried garlic which makes my skin raw and start to peel and the cryrotherapy just makes my skin swell and hurt. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but this is just the reality of having this stupid virus. The only thing I can say that would help is put vitamin e or an other kind ointment on them twice a day and cover them with band aids.

I'd say just take care of it and leave it alone. The more you antagonize your wound, the worse it gets. When I had cryotheraphy done, I had to sit down to pee because holding my penis would just make me wring in pain. But it'll get better.

The nurse had this chart, and I was always asked each time I went for treatment, to give them a pain rating of 1 to 10. From least painful to most painful. I usually give a 7 or 8. The treatment itself does not hurt much, it is the aftermath that hurts more.

So just be really slow about peeing and just relax. I know it hurts, but it'll get better. I assure you.

I agree, I've had these several times over 9 yrs and I typically use Aldara. I've found that it's very important to use it every day or two then give your self a break for a 2-3 days. Use cautiously, this takes a while and you don't want to over do it. This last time I did it for just two applications. It killed them but also damaged my skin (anal area). Once that happens use Desonide .05% or cortizone for a week or two till healed. I even made a rinse bottle with a tube to assist in cleaning. Seems to help me, as it's a hard area to see/clean.
Vasoline my help reduce chaffing/rubbing. Hope that helps.
