LEEP for CIN 3

Hello. This is my first time posting. I am currently scheduled for a LEEP on 3/17/09. I am extremely nervous. I've had the walls of my cervix scraped 3 times and the first 2 times it helped for a while. Now its back and that did not help. So they did a biopsy and it came back as a CIN 3. I have a 4 yr old, 3 yr old and a 1 yr old. I'm scared I won't be able to take care of them after the procedure. My sons first tball practice is that same evening. Will I be able to handle going? Please help!!

I think it will depend on the anesthesia. If you are getting a local anesthetic (numbing of the cervix), then you may be okay to go out that evening, but if you are receiving a general anesthesia, maybe not. Everyone's experiences are different, and you may not know yourself until later that day if you are up to it. Good luck!

Everyone's experiences are different, but overall, I would have to say that it won't hurt as bad as you are anticipating. The procedure is quick and if you are numbed or knocked out, you won't feel a thing.
You may have some discomfort afterwards and some residual bleeding.

I had a LEEP done on March 6th. I was totally knocked out. I didn't have much residual bleeding I had some cramping that night but it wasn't bad I went out to dinner that night and shoe shopping LOL. I thought I would have a problem with the anesthesia because I have MS I had no problems after I fully woke up when I was coming to I was seeing double but that stopped within 10 minutes

I had a leep done last july and had a local anesthetic. It really wasn't as bad as i anticipated. I thought the worst part was the smell of them taking the bad cells out- (because they burn them out-i forget the technical term!) But I couldn't feel anything. When I got home, it felt like a had really achy period cramps for the rest of the day, but i was still fine to walk and do stuff, nothing serious. Also, I barely had any residual bleeding... it was only about 4 or 5 days after i think that i had a little bit, but nothing as bad as i expected.
