Hpv and moles again...

Dear friends,

I can't seem to sort this out as none of my doc can relate my sudden appearing moles on my body and genital area with hpv. Is there any relativity between hpv and moles? Can hpv virus trigger moles to become evident? Sorry friends, I'm panicking. I scared I'll die because of hpv and it's side effect.

HPV doesnt cause moles.

Warts can be pigmented so potentially what we think is a mole could be a wart. But your doctor should be able to tell the difference (is your doctor a dermatologist ?). They can do a biopsy to confirm what these "moles" are. Where are these new moles that you mention ? Are they genital or elsewhere ?

It could just be that you are noticing moles now because you are paying extra attention to your skin. Might they have been there before and you didnt notice ?

I do understand that HPV 5, a typical skin wart (not genital) can cause skin cancer if it persists. I'm not sure if they turn into moles. I think you should see a dermatologist for a full-body skin exam most likely to put your mind at ease! :)

I'm getting having it on my arms, legs and genital area. It is so obvious where I have no moles on the mentioned place last time. I'm getting 2 to 3 moles sometimes, they usually will be not so far with each other. Can you explain more on hpv 5? Can it spread to other body parts? My gp and gynae couldn't link it with hpv as they said it's moles and ask me to observe for any changes in future. I'm just worried, I don't know what I'm dealing with now... Lately, I spot another 3 new moles on my fore arm...

I don't know a whole lot about HPV 5 except that Ian Frazer the guy who developed Gardasil is trying to come up with a vaccine against HPV 5. You can always google it on the internet.

I don't think it is normal that you are suddenly getting all these "moles." I wonder about moluscum contagium. Sersiously, see a dermatologist that specializes in skin disorders. Your GP and gynocologist won't be able to help you in this area. Hope it gets better soon!

My Gynae suspecting on moluscum contagium too... What is this about? How can I cure it? Is this have something to do with hpv? Thanks a lot for your help, appreciate if I cn explain further so I can get a peace of mind. May God bless u.

I love Wikipedia - always a great place to start.
If it is moluscum, its not so bad. No "cure", but goes away by itself after a while and no health risks by the looks of it. A dermatologist will be able to give you a clear answer. Good luck.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
