I have irregular swellings or bumps (kinda big) at the back of my throat (Pharynx wall) for almost 5 months, Before that i had terrible sore throat which lasted for 2 weeks. I have no idea whether it was there before and i just realize it since i was paranoid about oral warts 5 months ago. I went to 4 different GPs after consulting my doc who is a specialist in STI and gynae.
My doc look at the bumps and said it looks normal, nothing to be worried about and prescribe me med to reduce the swelling. I refuse to take the med as he claims it can affect my immune system. After that i tried to get 2nd opinion from GP A, where she claim its looks normal and nothing to worry about. GP B claims it swell up and prescribe me anti swelling med. GP C claims it looks normal and not everyone will have smooth pharynx wall, nothing to be worried. GP D said, its look fine and not to be worried as not everyone will have smooth pharynx wall, my pharynx wall look rough but normal he said.
Still emotionally disturbed, I walked in to one of the good ENT specialist where he take a look of my mouth and claim this is a very straight forward issue and he didn't discuss further on the bump/swellings as he claim it is nothing to worry about but he is more concerned on my tonsils as he claim it doesn't look healthy. He suggested for opt to treat my tonsils and at the same time he claim he can remove a part the bumps/swellings by cauterize it.
He classify the issue as Chronic Tonsillitis. My concern is, does the ENT specialist knows how oral warts looks like? He seems to be more concern on the tonsils than the bumps, where it doesn't look normal to me and I could not find any picture in net that is similar to the bump/swelling that i'm having. Is oral wart can occur in gw patient after 1 year of initial exposure? I'm confused, please help...

Ive noticed in a lot of your posts that you seem be very pessimistic and paranoid in most cases.
First of all, the ENT is a specialist and he would be able to distinguish an oral wart from any other deformaties. Mostly everybody gets their tonsils taken out, its normal.
Also, dont think about the warts too much where it consumes your life. Which is what you seem to be doing.
Trust me man, i been through the same thing. The first 4-5 months all i did was study about this disease and find as much info about it as i could. You know what it came down to? This thing will eventually be gone and as long as you take care of the tissues that are infected by killing them, you should be fine. Eventually your body will take control of this virus.
All in all, dont fret over this. Dont let it consume your life. Youre no different than any guy out there. The less you think about it the better it is. Just treat them if theyre there and move on. Have an appoint every other month with a well known dermatologist and enjoy your life.
