The thing that I learned about warts is that there could just be one or there could be multiple, and they could really be anywhere on your genitals. But my warts did not have any hair popping out of it. To me, that sounds like a mole? My family members have some moles and they all have little hairs poking out. But I wouldn't rule warts out because the fact that it got bigger and irritated is something that would happen with a wart. If it is really bothering you, you could try what I did: I made a gyno apt to get my bumps checked out but the only apt they had available was March 13th, I couldn't wait that long because i was so worried! So I went to planned parenthood and they were able to get me in right away and diagnose me THAT day that I had HPV genital warts, and if I didn't go, I would still have no idea what it is. Honestly, I google imaged vaginal bumps and all warts looked different on google images and all herpes looked different and all all lesions looked different from the next so there is no way i could have been able to tell that it was a wart or not by looking at it so going to a health professional is important. But i am unsure since your last pap was low risk negative... i read somewhere that warts don't appear for 6-10 months after exposure, But I don't know if that means that your pap will come up with negative in the meantime? I also read that there is some type of vinegar test where if you put vinegar on it, it will turn white if it's a wart. Don't take my word for this though because I didn't look too into it but you could perhaps google it? I read someone else's discussion post on this website saying not to do the crotch watch, and I think this is important because you'll start thinking that every bump is a wart when it could be a skin tag or something else. You are doing what you are supposed to be by making regular apt's to get paps. Vitamins aren't a bad idea either because warts can appear with a poor immune system. Hope I helped!

I don't know how well this works, but drag your fingernail over the area. If the fingernail gets caught, you may have a wart. It could be an ingrown hair. I get a lot of places like that on other parts of my body I don't think twice about. When I see it down in my nether region, it bugs me.

Hey! Sounds to me more like an ingrown hair or folliculitis. With an HPV diagnosis you end up questioning every single bump that comes up. I know I still do.

It's good your pap showed no low risk HPV, but you just never know. The possibility is always there that you have been exposed to a low risk strain but it has cleared up and is not detectable, however the high risk is showing up. It is unusual that you have even been tested for low risk HPV. People typically only come to find out about low risk HPV if they get genital warts. And a lot of people carry low risk HPV and never display the warts. I wouldn't worry about it. It's all pretty much the same thing in the end. Focus on getting healthy so you can get rid of whatever HPV stain or strains you may have. Remember, you're not alone in the least! :)

Hmmm, to me this doesn't really seem like a wart. Just reading this gave me the instinct that it is something else that has just been bugged.

I'm no doctor, and I honestly don't have any clue but I wouldn't stress to much about this. If it doesn't go away in a few days I would try to make an appt to get it checked out just so you can be sure and have a clearer head.

I personally wouldn't think it's a wart since you've tested negative for the low risk but it could just be showing up for you. I mean I don't know how long it's been for you since you were first exposed.

You said that you started taking vitamins and that you're working on quitting smoking! I think that is wonderful of you, and if you quit smoking that would be great! Start exercising if you don't already, and try to have the best attitude that you can! Being positive always helps :)

So I went into panic mode with the whole crotch watch thing!!
I went to an OBGYN yesterday to hear what I had was a skin tag, and also a pimple like thing on my perianal region (which popped, I was so scared it was a herpes blister- I've never been tested for genital herpes)
He told me nothing to worry about.

That mysterious skin thing has since decreased in size and I promised I wouldn't mess with it again.

He also looked me over and said no warts. :-)
